Most Popular Online Blackjack Counting Systems

Hasn’t everyone who has gambled even once played with the idea of those smooth Hollywood moves in gambling movies where the awkward geeky protagonist deprives the casino of millions with the silent mathematics that no one seems to understand? Online Blackjack is a game that millions play, both amateurs and pros alike. Counting cards is a very real phenomenon and although illegal in some circumstances, a very clever player uses some of this strategy to win a round at our mobile casino.

Most Popular Online Blackjack Counting Systems

Thorp’s Ten-Count

The easiest way to count cards at online Blackjack: Effective only if a single deck of cards is laid out, this system is often used by gamblers playing online Blackjack. All the cards bearing numbers and the ace-card are assigned a value of +4. The face cards are given a value of -9. The higher the summation of cards dealt, the higher the bet that is placed.

The Hi-Lo system

A derivative of the Ten-count way of playing online Blackjack: In this system, the cards bearing 2 to 6 are deemed to be valued at +1 Cards bearing 10, jack, queen, king and ace is valued at -1. Cards bearing 7, 8 or 9 are assigned a value of 0. If the summation is more positive, it means that the high-value cards are still to be dealt out. This system works well when several decks are dealt when the final running sum must be divided by the number of decks. However, for starters though, players can start with a single deck.

The Red Seven Count system

Online Blackjack where colours too matter: When gamblers play this kind of online Blackjack, they assign -1 to cards bearing 10, aces and the face cards, while the cards bearing 2 to 6 are valued at +1 and the cards bearing 8 and 9 are valued at 0. The colour of the card also plays a role; a red is valued at +1, while a back is assigned a 0. The higher the summation, the higher the bet that is placed.

The Knock-Out

The relatively less accurate way of playing online Blackjack: In this system, the cards bearing 10, aces, jacks, queens and kings are assigned a value of -1. Cards bearing 2 to 7 are valued at +1 and cards bearing 8 and 9 are valued at 0. If the total count amounts to +2, it is a good idea to place a bet, else it would be better to hold back. This system is not balanced as the summation after all the cards have been dealt is not zero.

There are several other ways of counting cards while playing online Blackjack on Mr Mobi. Much of the success, however, depends on the player’s ability to do the math fast, as otherwise, it becomes obvious. In a land-based casino, if the player is caught counting cards, it can be a serious offence.
